Greetings~
I have finally decided to blog. Usually I will have a poem or something of a sort for you. However, what made me blog is what happened last night. It is about parents~
Many people take parents for granted. I am not one of those people if I may say so myself. Parents can be just as awesome as your best mate or your partner. Sometimes, they are even more awesome, because of their immense love towards you.
I just want to tell you what happened first of all. Reminiscing back to yesterday~

It was late at night. My dad was extremely angry at me. Why? My mum told me that morning to take out the bed sheets for a little breeze. When dad came home, I asked him to help me take all the bed sheets back. However, when he went to pat the sheets, to get rid of all the dust within, something stimulated his his hay fever and symptoms started to show. His allergies quickly increased in severity, and soon he was feeling so unwell he had to go to bed. When mum came home, she looked after him for a bit while I was in the kitchen preparing dinner. As he came to dinner, he was in the worst of moods. It was really horrible to see. He started blaming me.
My mum, being the loving mum she is, stuck up for me. She diverted some of the blame, and defended me when my dad scolded me.
After dinner, when they were packing their lunch for the following day, my dad asked who microwaved the egg, because they burnt it. Since I prepared dinner, I had microwaved everything. Hearing this, I was about to confess and accept another scolding. However my mum stepped in for me, and said "I'm not telling you who microwaved it. It's not really any of your business. Stop asking everything"

My dad, he isn't a bad guy. Although he had just stepped into the house, and hasn't even changed, he came straight away to help me. And even risking his own health, he was willing to lend me a hand. A good father is always there for his son.
My mother stood up for me against my own father...the smallest things makes the biggest difference. She sacrificed herself in a way to protect me, since the way she said it strongly made it seem that she was the one who microwaved the egg. That moment almost made me cry...and I thought all you special people out there who read my blog should know about this.
Family is something that everyone has, but most does not realise what a blessing family is. Sometimes, family is the only special unit of people whom you can trust completely. They are the only people who will take down all their barriers, allow you to enter their world, shelter you out of wanting nothing except for your wellbeing and love. This is what makes family so special.
To all those out there who are having troubles with their parents, please consider this.
Parents want what is best for you. They have provided you with the needs to live and live happily out of no obvious return. Please do not take this for granted~ work with them, not against them, for it will not only please them, make your life much easier, but their experience is something you will not have. They have reasons, legitimate reasons for their actions, all to try to benefit you. This is something you are blessed with. Please don't throw it away~
That is all for today. I will attach one photo. This is a picture taken on the last Earth Hour. It shows that even in dark, there will always be some light. Seek it, find it, and treasure it~
